Kit arrived at the turn of the year, stepping out from the darker line of yew where the ground falls away, her dress of lace dulled by damp and marked with the fine tracery of twigs. The mother did not move when she approached; the first daughter shifted only enough to make space. The child stood between them for a long moment, her head inclined, as if counting something that could not be seen, then she lowered herself to the stone, lace settling about her knees, and set her hands upon the earth, ribbons at her knees lying still despite the wind passing over them. By autumn she remained where she had set herself, and the path bent a little, as paths will, around what is not to be disturbed.

Kit is entirely hand-sewn using vintage fabrics - black shantung, ivory lace (embroidered tulle, and filet), silk ribbons at her knees. She stands 16.5" (43.5cm) tall from ear- to toe-tip, and  will hang in mid-air or against your wall, or sit upon a shelf.She is remarkably fond of toffee, however, so do keep it safe, should you have any in the house.
