Winter Moongazing Hare
Winter Moongazing Hare
£65.00
Hares are famed for their close association with the Moon, which may be why this little one is gazing at the skies so longingly.
Celtic goddess Eostre was also linked to the Moon, & with mythic stories of death, redemption & resurrection during the turning of the seasons. Eostre, too, was a shape-shifter taking the form of a hare at each full moon; all hares were sacred to her & acted as her messengers. What might she have to say to you?
This particular hare is stitched from vintage Irish linen with a fluffy little maribou tail, filled with recycled merino wool. She sits 8" (20cm) tall, with wired ears that you can reposition. Made to order, so there may be slight variations.
