Where to begin to describe Astronia... Just a fluttery faerie filled with goodwill & boundless charm.  Unless the moon is visible, in which case she becomes something quite, quite other - a ravenous devourer of anything green (including discarded jackets, or even boiled cabbage) & singer of raucous sea shanties (albeit in an astonishingly beautiful voice).  It will not surprise you to learn that these unfortunate afflictions are the result of an enchantment cast by the evil faerie excluded from her 210th birthday festivities.

Blessedly, the Winter Ball this year falls upon the night of the New Moon, when the skies are dark.  Thus she can bedazzle one & all in her shimmering pearl-coloured gown, enchant the young princes with her lace-encased legs, & dance until dawn with ne'er a care in any world.

17"(42cm) from top of hair to tip of toe, & with a wing-span of 6 1/2"(16cm), Astronia is entirely hand-stitched using recycled materials.  These include vintage lace, silk ribbons, embroidered organza, & damask chiffon.
